We're FreeSoftwareX Digital — the
SEO & marketing team behind FreeSoftwareX.
Interactive prototyping means turning wireframes into clickable, navigable mockups so you, and your users, can experience the flow of a site or app before development starts. It catches usability problems and misaligned expectations early, when they're cheap to fix, rather than after the build is underway.
We build prototypes at the level of fidelity the project needs - sometimes low-fidelity click-throughs to validate a flow quickly, sometimes higher-fidelity prototypes with real interactions and transitions for stakeholder presentations or user testing. These are built in standard design tools so they're easy to share, comment on, and iterate on before we commit anything to code.
Key user journeys, like sign-up, checkout, or onboarding, built as clickable prototypes you can navigate and test.
Shareable prototype links so your team can review and leave feedback without needing design software installed.
Prototypes structured so they can be used in real user testing sessions to catch usability issues early.
Changes made directly in the prototype based on feedback, before any development time is spent on the wrong version.
We start from your wireframes or sketches and identify the key flows that need to be prototyped.
We build clickable, navigable prototypes for those flows using standard design tools.
We walk through the prototype with your team, gather feedback, and refine it before development starts.
Not every flow needs a polished, high-fidelity prototype - sometimes a rough click-through is enough to validate whether a checkout flow makes sense, while a stakeholder pitch or usability test benefits from something closer to the real interface. We choose fidelity based on what decision the prototype needs to support, rather than defaulting to the most detailed option every time.
Once initial feedback comes in from stakeholders or test users, we iterate on the prototype directly - adjusting flow order, removing confusing steps, or rethinking a screen entirely - since changes here cost far less than changes made after development has started. Only once the flow holds up under real feedback does it move to the dev team.
